ED SHEERAN’S BEST COLLABS
Ed Sheeran's flair for vivid, heart on the sleeve storytelling has made him one of the biggest music artists in the world, but he certainly isn’t afraid of sharing his talent around and writing great songs with his peers in the process. From new rappers to global superstars, Ed is constantly collaborating with other artists, proving that he truly is in it for the music … and the good times.
We've been waiting patiently for this one since it was announced 2 days ago!
Ed and Justin teased us with this on their social media and the anticipation is finally over as we get to hear in full this absolute smash by two of the biggest pop stars in the world!
Here are four more of the best from a star-studded list of collaborations that really is as extensive as it is impressive!
Rudimental: "Lay It On Me feat. Ed Sheeran"
This is one of those songs that you can listen to anywhere. Whether you’re chilling, partying or even hitting the gym, it’s an instant mood elevator that’ll have you feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Which makes sense because this track that’s all about sticking by your mates was first played to Ed by the Rudimental's boys while they were touring with him in America. Clearly impressed, Ed recorded the song with them when they returned to London. Be sure not miss his sneaky cameo in the music video!
Ed Sheeran | “Perfect Duet [w/ Beyoncé]”
Ed and Bey are both certified hitmakers in their own right. With their powers combined, they are an entirely unstoppable force. Sheeran sets the scene with his intimate acoustic, quietly singing about his perfect love; then comes Beyoncé’s powerhouse vocals to step it up a notch or ten. Their harmonies are heavenly, their musical chemistry stunning. The duet couldn’t be more aptly titled.
Rita Ora | “Your Song (ft. Ed Sheeran)”
Rita Ora and Ed Sheeran surprised everyone with this live performance of their collaboration, “Your Song”. The pair look entirely at ease as they pull off this incredible one-take performance. Rita’s amazing voice is at the forefront as she effortlessly nails the vocal over Ed’s infectiously percussive rhythm and tender harmonies. They make it look so easy!
Anne-Marie & Ed Sheeran | “2002”
This one is guaranteed to speak straight to the heart of anyone who has a penchant for nostalgia. The track references late '90s/early 2000s chart-toppers throughout the chorus - including JAY-Z's "99 Problems," *NSYNC’s "Bye, Bye, Bye" and Britney Spears’ "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops!...I Did It Again." - whilst reminiscing over the emotional rollercoaster ride that is adolescent love.
