FOALS NEW ALBUM: EVERYTHING NOT SAVED WILL BE LOST – PART 1, OUT NOW!
Foals’ exceptional vision and unashamed love for the unconventional has seen them go from playing sweaty house parties to headlining international festivals and winning a swag of awards and overwhelming fan devotion along the way.
Now, they have announced the most ambitious and progressive project of their career to date - not one, but two astonishing new albums! Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 1 is out now, Part 2 will be released later this year.
“They’re two halves of the same locket. They can be listened to and appreciated individually, but fundamentally, they are companion pieces.” - frontman, Yannis Philippakis.
Foals’ anthemic and ominous first single, “Exits” comes with a futuristic-dystopian-sci-fi-thriller, feature-film style music video, so conceptually mind-blowing and visually stunning you’ll watch it ten times over just to marvel in its glory, even though you have no idea what’s going on.
With its sparkling retro synths and skyscraping hooks, second single, “On the Luna” definitely takes us on a more upbeat turn. The grainy, super 8 style music video is an action-packed behind the scenes peek at what a day (or ten) in the totally rad lives of the Foals looks like.
Foals “On The Luna”
The first three singles from Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1 are a fine-tuned assault of variety and emotional resonance.
“Sunday” is a completely new trip again, showing that at the heart of it, Foals are stadium level anthemic juggernauts. This is THE euphoric song you want to hear close the end of a sweaty, messy, festival day, when all senses are exhausted.
From their spasmodic math-rock debut Antidotes, to the more danceable textures of Total Life Forever, and the intoxicating Holy Fire and What Went Down, Foals artistic progression has been confident, fired-up and one to watch.
Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1 is yet another giant leap forward from these master innovators. Packed with apocalyptic themes that mirror public neuroses, cultural paranoia and a fear of environmental collapse … we’re literally on the edge of our seats waiting to see what …Part 2 has in store!
