Down by the Jetty (CD)

Produced by Vic Mailen, ‘Down By The Jetty’ has the energy of a band that has relentlessly played live for half a decade and nothing demonstrates this more than the dozen cuts that precede the ‘Bony Moronie’/‘Tequila’ concert recording that closes this debut.

Guitarist Wilko Johnson penned several originals for this record, including ‘She Does It Right’ and ‘Roxette,’ and the bluesy shout of frontman Lee Brilleaux seals the deal. This record is unquestionably an inspiration to bands including The Jam, Boomtown Rats and Blondie.
