The staple Jazz Fusion album was recorded at the infamous Electric Lady Studio, where tracks like “Stratus,” “Red Baron,” and “Le Lis” were crafted in one to two takes. Side artists include Tommy Bolin, John Tropea on guitar, Jan Hammer on keyboards, and Lee Sklar on bass.
Quadraphonic sound, or 4.0 surround sound, utilizes four audio channels connected to four speakers positioned at the corners of a listening space. The multi-tracked audio is mixed dimensional, immersing the listener in an expansive soundscape.
